To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (i.e., GS-09) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Qualifying examples of specialized experience would typically include but are not limited to: evaluating healthcare program goals, objectives, key events, milestones, and program accomplishments; understanding relationships among healthcare programs and key administrative support functions within the employing agency and other agencies; applying administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to healthcare administration; assessing public reaction and understanding of healthcare information programs and explaining significant issues to individuals and groups interested in the facility's healthcare programs; and applying administrative and management knowledge to support healthcare program operations and administrative functions.
