PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. GS-07 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Operating computer-aided dispatch systems, multi-channel radios, and emergency telephone systems 2) Assessing/prioritizing emergency and nonemergency calls to determine appropriate response personnel, resources using dispatch protocols; 3) Dispatching and coordinating police, fire, emergency medical services personnel and vehicles during routine/complex incidents; and 4) Monitoring responding units, maintaining incident records and unit status, relaying critical information to support responder safety and incident operations. GS-06 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing emergency communication equipment; 2) Prioritizing emergency and nonemergency calls for service to respond accordingly; 3) Dispatching emergency vehicles including police, fire, and medical services personnel; and 4) Acting as the initial incident command support until responding emergency units arrive on scene.
