About the Position: Serves as a Desk Officer responsible for day-to-day functions of the Desk Control Operations on an assigned watch and performing a broad range of law enforcement, investigation, crime prevention, traffic control, and community policing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work utilizing laws and regulations to maintain order or protect life or property; responding to calls for assistance or emergency situations; arresting or mirandizing suspects; conducting investigations of crimes or preserving evidence; conducting vehicle or foot patrols; or conducting personal or vehicle searches. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
