We’re seeking a Sr Packaging Engineer to work at a premier pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry leader industry in Juncos, PR.

Location : On Site position at Juncos Puerto Rico, US

Salary : $45.00 hr – W2

Shift : 8hrs shift | Administrative – with work schedule flexibility as required to support 24/7 operations, requiring occasional after-hours engineering coverage.

Requirements:

- Master degree in Engineering and 2 yrs experience OR Bachelor degree in Engineering and 4 years of experience at pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

- Experience in pharmaceutical packaging engineering and final product manufacturing.

- Experience developing test protocols, performing technical evaluations, and supporting material qualification through ASTM, ISO, TAPPI, USP, EP, and distribution testing standards (ASTM D4169).

- Knowledge of GMP, GDP, validation processes, and regulated documentation practices.

- Experience with packaging materials qualification, testing, and technical documentation.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish

The Sr Packaging Engineer is responsible to provide advanced engineering support for pharmaceutical packaging operations, leading process optimization, troubleshooting, validation, and packaging material qualification activities. Manage complex engineering projects, develop technical solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with GMP standards, quality requirements, and business objectives. Support the design, testing, evaluation, and implementation of primary and secondary packaging systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
