MyPRjobs brings together, in one place, the jobs available in Puerto Rico: federal positions posted on USAJOBS, Government of Puerto Rico announcements from empleos.pr.gov and the Department of Education, private-sector jobs from authorized sources, remote work open to Puerto Rico, and openings posted directly by local employers.

Why I built MyPRjobs

I'm Puerto Rican, and MyPRjobs came out of something that happened to me.

Looking for work here often means going from site to site: one for federal openings, another for Government of Puerto Rico announcements, another for private jobs, the classifieds off on their own, and the Facebook groups somewhere else. You end up with eight tabs open running the same search five times, still wondering whether you missed something.

I got it into my head that all of it could live in one place. That's where MyPRjobs came from.

Looking for a job shouldn't be a punishment or a form of torture. It should be easy, clear, and even satisfying when you find an opportunity that fits you.

I've lived it from all three sides

I have worked for a private agency, for the Government of Puerto Rico, and for the federal government.

I went through those processes myself: finding the announcement, understanding the requirements, preparing the application, sitting exams and evaluations, and waiting for an answer.

That is why one of the areas I have put the most hours into on MyPRjobs is helping people understand federal and government employment from Puerto Rico: how to find openings, read the requirements, understand the pay, and prepare a better application.

That information is often scattered or explained in a complicated way, especially in Spanish, and it can be a serious opportunity for someone trying to move their career forward.

What I want MyPRjobs to be

MyPRjobs is not meant to be just another job listing site.

The goal is to bring opportunities from different sources together in one place and, on top of that, to offer tools that help along the way: search by municipality and category, career guides, resources for federal and government employment, a résumé and cover letter builder, and jobs posted directly by employers.

When an opportunity comes from another source, we want that to be clear, and we want you to be able to visit the original posting to check the details and apply.

Employers can also post their openings directly on MyPRjobs, free of charge.

How it works

  • Jobs are imported and refreshed automatically twice a day from their sources; listings that expire drop out of search.
  • Every job names its source, and the apply button always takes you to the listing's official channel. MyPRjobs never processes applications and never charges to apply.
  • Every opening an employer posts goes through manual review before it appears on the site, and anyone can report a listing.
  • Listings arriving from outside sources pass through automatic filters that reject positions outside Puerto Rico and implausible salaries before publication.
  • Beyond search, we offer pages by town and category, 169 original guides in Spanish and English on federal and local employment, and a résumé builder in federal (USAJOBS) format and an ATS-friendly private-sector format.

How we decide what gets published

These rules are not decoration: they are what we apply every day, and the reason a listing sometimes does not appear.

  • Nothing invented. A salary that is not in the listing does not get published. We do not estimate it, round it, or fill it in with what the role usually pays.
  • Puerto Rico only. If the position is on the mainland, the listing says so in its first paragraph or it does not go up. Nobody should find out they have to relocate after applying.
  • If we don't know who the employer is, we say so. When a listing carries no company name and no way to verify one, it does not go up until we can confirm it.
  • The apply button goes to the employer. Never to another job board. In September 2026 we cut off a source that paid us per click, because its links were diverting people to a competing job board.
  • We state what a listing has, not what it lacks. A job with no posted salary is not flagged as though it were worth less.
  • When we get something wrong, we fix it and write it down. Changes are kept in a moderation log with the evidence behind each decision.

MyPRjobs is an independent job-discovery platform. We are not affiliated with the United States Government, USAJOBS, the Government of Puerto Rico, or the employers listed. The service is, and will remain, free for job seekers.

MyPRjobs is built around how we actually look for work here: our 78 municipalities, federal and commonwealth openings, private companies, and people looking for remote options from Puerto Rico.
