Privacy Policy

Without an account

MyPRjobs never requires an account to search for jobs or to apply. Your saved jobs, the resume you write in the resume builder and your language preference are stored only in your browser (localStorage) and never leave your device unless you choose to save them to an account or share your resume (see below). Your job search log (/en/job-search-log) is also stored only in your browser: it is not uploaded to your account or to our system.

With an account (optional)

If you create an account (with email and password or with Google), we store your email, your profile name and whatever you choose to sync: up to 5 resumes and your favorite jobs. That data is private to your account: database-level security rules guarantee that only you can read your resumes; neither other users nor MyPRjobs administrators have access. You can delete it at any time from "My account". Employer accounts also store the company's public profile and its published listings.

What we keep when you use a feature

  • Job alerts: your email and the filters you choose (towns, categories, keywords). Kept while the alert is active; every email includes a link to cancel it. If you never confirm the alert from the email, we delete it after 30 days.
  • Deadline reminders: your email and the job you asked to be reminded about.
  • Sharing your resume: if you use “share”, we keep a copy of the resume so the link works, and the IP address it was created from, to prevent abuse. The link expires after 30 days.
  • Contact form: your name, email and message, so we can reply.
  • Reporting a job: the reason you choose. It does not record who reported it.
  • Kiko and Beta, the assistants: what you type in their box is not stored with anything about you or sent anywhere, with one exception: if they don’t understand a phrase and it has no personal data (no name, address, long numbers, email or phone, and nothing about your health, your record or unemployment), we keep just that phrase, without knowing who you are (no account, no IP, no identifier), with the assistant and the page where it was typed, to review every week which words they are missing; it is deleted after 90 days. If you tap one of its buttons, the only part of what you typed that can go into the address of the jobs, alerts or United States page is a job word from a fixed list (a job title, a field or an employer, like “cashier” or “Walgreens”) or the full name of an employer that has listings on the site; a person’s name, an address, a number or anything else you type never does. On the federal jobs page, if Kiko takes you to a “Who can apply?” group (for example, people with disabilities), the address carries that group, just like tapping its button on the page. On the United States page the word is used to search the jobs in our database; we don’t store it (Supabase, which hosts the database, keeps its technical logs for a while). No visit to those addresses reaches Google Analytics with that word or that group, not even if you go back, reload, change a filter, search the same word again or open a listing in another tab. Like any address on the site, the ad services on that page and Microsoft Clarity can see it (see below). If you type a Social Security number, a license number, an email, a phone number or a birth date, Kiko clears the box and searches nothing. In your browser (localStorage) it remembers the last town and category you used, and the last job word you searched (only if it is from that fixed list), for 30 days, and the “Forget” link deletes it. When you ask how many jobs close or came in, it reads the count the home page already has, without sending anything of yours. It also counts, without knowing who you are, how many times a day each button is tapped (only the button and the type of page).
  • Advertiser payments: processed by Stripe. MyPRjobs never sees or stores card details.

Alert, reminder and notice emails are sent by Resend on our behalf. If you want any of this data deleted, write to us from the contact page.

Service providers

  • Supabase hosts the database and account authentication. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email and profile photo with us; nothing more.
  • Google Analytics 4 gives us aggregate usage statistics (pages visited, searches by category) using cookies. We configure analytics to never send personal information: no names, no emails, no phone numbers, and never the contents of your resume.
  • Microsoft Clarity shows us, without identifying you, how the site is used: where people tap, how far they scroll and where something breaks. We set it to mask all page text in its recordings, so it does not see what you type. It does receive the address of each page you visit, like the ads do (on a search, the address carries the searched word).
  • Advertising: the site is funded by advertising space. When we show third-party ads, external vendors (Google among them) may set and read cookies in your browser, use web beacons and receive your IP address to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Google uses advertising cookies for this; you can turn off Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Vendors other than Google can be opted out at optout.aboutads.info.
  • Vidverto shows video and display ads on some pages (a video that stays in a corner as you scroll, a banner inside the page and, at most once a day, a full-screen ad you can close with the ✕). Like the other advertising vendors, it may use cookies and receive your IP address; its policy is at vidverto.io/privacy-policy.

We do not sell your personal data. Outside the service providers listed above, we do not share your information with third parties.

YouTube

MyPRjobs uses YouTube API Services for one thing only: uploading to our own channel (@MyPRjobs) the short videos we produce summarizing job openings. That use does not access, collect or store any data from site visitors or from other YouTube users: the only connected account is our own. When you watch our content on YouTube, the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy also apply. The authorization our own account grants to our system can be revoked at any time on Google's security permissions page. We store no data obtained from YouTube: our system only sends videos, it reads nothing.

Cookies and local storage

We use localStorage for your preferences and drafts (language, resume, saved jobs) and also to keep your session when you sign in; the session does NOT travel in cookies. The cookies the site sets are: Google Analytics (_ga) for statistics; Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk and Microsoft’s MUID) to see how the site is used; Google’s consent notice (FCCDCF, FCNEC), which remembers your choice; and those of the advertising vendors described above when ads are shown (Google’s, for example IDE). You can clear everything from your browser settings.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, state law (the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) gives you these rights over your personal information:

  • Know and access: ask us which categories of personal information we collect and request a copy of yours.
  • Correct inaccurate information and delete what we hold about you.
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights: the site works the same for everyone.

What we collect is described above, and it is little: identifiers (email and name, only if you create an account), aggregated usage activity (Google Analytics, with no personal information), and — on days when ads are shown — the advertising cookies of the providers listed. We do not sell personal information for money. Third-party advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out through the links in the advertising section (adssettings.google.com and optout.aboutads.info) and by clearing cookies in your browser. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us through the contact page. We respond within the 45 days the law sets, and we verify identity only with what is needed to locate your data (normally, your account email).

If you visit from Europe, the UK or Switzerland

There, analytics and advertising store nothing on your device until you give consent in the Google notice shown when you arrive, and you can change your choice at any time. You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it and to have it deleted, by writing to us from the contact page.

  • Use the full site without creating an account.
  • Delete your resumes and saved jobs from "My account" whenever you want.
  • Request full deletion of your account and its data through the contact page.
