Details

  • How to apply: the Special Agent application is online at fbijobs.gov/special-agents (open year-round), separate from the registration above. The full job listing is at myprjobs.com/jobs/agente-especial-fbi.
  • It is an information table: the FBI explains how to apply and join the agency.
  • Every visitor 18 or older undergoes a background check before receiving a pass. The visitor center closes at 2:00 p.m., so arrive early. Access questions: (787) 707-3995.
  • Special Agent: the FBI looks for people from many backgrounds (its brochure names auditors, lawyers, athletes and teachers). Training is at the Basic Field Training Course, and an agent can retire with 25 years of service at any age or with 20 years at age 50.
  • The Special Agent physical fitness test has four events, in this order: pull-ups, a 300-meter sprint, push-ups and a 1.5-mile run. You need 10 points combined and at least 1 in each event.
  • Veterans and active-duty members: you can apply before your separation date, veterans' preference applies, and there are internship programs (Wounded Warrior and SkillBridge). Time in uniform counts toward federal retirement.
  • Benefits listed in the brochure: 13 to 26 days of annual leave, 13 sick days, 11 federal holidays and up to a 5% match on the retirement plan (TSP).
  • MyPRjobs is not part of the FBI or the Army.
Register with the FBI (Applicant Data Sheet) ›

This is the registration behind the QR code on the FBI's table. It is the FBI's own form; you can fill it out even if you did not go to the base, and the FBI recruiter contacts those who register. MyPRjobs does not receive what you enter there.
