Federal experience is not required. Experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or through Volunteer Service. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required, you must meet any screen-out element listed. The screen-out element (SOE) for this position is: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SOE) In addition to the SOE, you must also meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: WG-03 To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must meet the requirements below: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. To be qualifying your experience should demonstrate the following: Able to perform very heavy manual labor including lifting and moving very heavy equipment and supplies through confined spaces. Use weight-handling equipment to move forms, supplies, property, and equipment to and from the warehouse. Possess knowledge and skill in the operation and control of heavy power equipment and know how to work safely with heavy tools. Operation of weight-handling devices such as electric hand trucks, pallet jacks and dollies to move very heavy loads. Prior job experience or on-the-job training is normally required to gain this level of manual skill. AND You must also meet the following requirement(s): MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Minimum age for federal employment is 18 years old, or at least 16 years old and have: Graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or Completed a formal vocational training program; or Received a statement from school authorities agreeing with your preference for employment rather than continuing your education. Physical Requirement: Able to exert very heavy physical effort in performing such tasks as lifting and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds and operating heavy equipment.
