A qualified candidate must possess the following: To qualify for the Waiter (Trainee) NA-02 :1. Applicant must meet the state of Texas age requirements (18 years old) for the servicing of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment. 2. Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change. 3. Be able to communicate effectively in English. This is a developmental position leading to the full performance level, NA-7420-03 Waiter. Employee will be non-competitively promoted to the next grade (PD# AK079) no later than 12 (twelve) months of satisfactory performance. The employee works under closer than normal supervision until full performance level is reached. At management's request, the incumbent may be promoted to the full performance Waiter once all required training is completed, meets all regulatory and qualification requirements; and is performing the full scope of the major duties under the proper level of supervision.
